The Rhema Foundation’s Investments
Some of The Rhema Foundation Canada’s current investments have been developed in conjunction with World Vision Canada, including:
Malawi: Microloan Project
In rural areas of Malawi, where access to credit is difficult, our loans make a significant improvement to the lives of many. When our clients use their loans to build their businesses, the effects are felt throughout the community. They use the additional income they earn to buy food, clothes and medicines, and to educate their children so they can have a brighter future.
Afghanistan: Mother and Child Project
According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), a child’s risk of dying is highest in the first month of life, when safe childbirth and effective neonatal care are essential. Once children have reached one month of age, and up until the age of five years, the main causes of loss of life are pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, measles and HIV.
We help protect the lives of children under age 5 and their mothers in the Afghan provinces of Heart, Badghis and Ghor by improving household nutrition and providing mothers with access to nutrition and health services.
